I have lost nearly 30 lbs. Energy level and metabolism rates are increased. Yoga has been the cornerstone of my weight loss program.
After your first Bikram class, what was your impression?
Damn, I sweat a lot :-) and I don't have the flexibility or strength I thought I did any more.
What drives you to continue to practice? What keeps bringing you back?
Initially weight loss, now many of the other benefits. Flexibility, strength, endurance.
What are some of the benefits and changes you've seen in yourself?

What is your favorite posture in the series and why?
Not sure I have a favorite. Half moon and hands to feet I suppose. Good warm up stretching for my abdomen, back and legs.
What is the greatest challenge about the yoga? Yourself?
Staying healthy - conscious of eating habits and staying pain free from other exercises which affect my ability in class i.e. standing separate leg and traingle have been an issue for weeks due to a muscle pull in my right leg/thigh.
What advice can you give to a 1st timer after they complete the class?
Focus on breathing and lie down when you think you're going to die.

Yoga has been the cornerstone of my weight loss program. Coupled with other exercise and eating right the results have been great.
