My body craves the mind, body, spirit experience. I feel
sluggish if I don't attend. I have been a martial artist for about 16
years now. I find that the benefits of Bikram yoga out weigh the
benefits of my martial arts practice in that it is more of a personal
practice, less contact, no bruising and more conditioning.
After your first Bikram class, what was your impression?
Very impressed by the amount of sweat that came
out of me! I am a martial artist who doesn't typically sweat like
this. It's an amazing cleansing.
What drives you to continue to practice? What keeps bringing you back?
My body craves the mind, body, spirit experience. I feel sluggish if I don't attend.
What are some of the benefits and changes you've seen in yourself?
Better clarity and digestion. Body feels more toned. I'm more centered
What is your favorite posture in the series and why?
The half moon pose because I love the feeling of that stretch.
What is the greatest challenge about the yoga? Yourself?
Balance. If I'm focused I can balance better. Balance is my challenge after
a long day.
