OUCH! Oh wait, and "Man, am I sweaty!" Don't get discouraged, keep reading...I am addicted to it! I actually look forward to going. I took 3 classes in the trial week and then got a 20 class pass and on class #12. I am religious about going 3 times a week. I can't even explain it but when I leave the place, I feel like Superwoman! Maybe its the sweating but whatever it is, it makes you feel awesome. I have 2 little kids and 4 companies to deal with so my life is hectic like most people so this class takes away my stress. My friend made a good comment to me...Yoga is the one place where you really don't think of anything else. You are concentrating on poses and breathing.
After your first Bikram class, what was your impression?

What drives you to continue to practice? What keeps bringing you back?I am addicted to it! I actually look forward to going. What are some of the benefits and changes you've seen in yourself?I crushed lumbar spine several years back so flexibility has been a challenge ever since. I've definitely noticed more flexibility since the classes. I also just feel better mentally and it has motivated me in other aspects of my life. I started a whole new workout program for myself, started a new company that I have put off for 3 years, etc. I contribute the motivation to this Bikram Yoga!
What is your favorite posture?Standing Bow Pulling: probably because its challenging to hold yourself up so when I can get through the whole minute, I feel like I accomplished something! I like all of the balancing poses.
What is the greatest challenge about the yoga? Yourself? The flexibility and to push myself more each class. Its strange because the class seems more difficult as time goes on but in a good way.
What advice can you give to a 1st timer after they complete the class?
I've talked to a lot of people and told them about how great this class is and the biggest comment I get is, "Oh, I couldn't deal with the heat." Yes, it is hot but it feels amazing. If you get dizzy, just sit for a minute. Definitely HYDRATE!! I also tend to eat something on my way over there. Fig Newton or even just a little peanut butter and breadsticks or something. I never feel sick after the class anymore.
